Piping & Equipment History
In 1946, W.E. “Bill” Watt saw a need for a skilled firm to fabricate and erect power piping. He founded Piping & Equipment Company, Inc. and the need was filled.
Since that beginning, we kept at the leading edge of construction. Building from our core of fabricating and erecting piping and equipment for refineries, chemical, industrial and food processing plant and electrical generating plants.
We have expanded our business to include ASME code fabrication and repair, millwright services, heavy mechanical construction.
In 1958, we were incorporated in Kansas. In 1964, Bill Watt retired and R.H. Farnham and Ben Callaway purchased the company. The company continued to grow, and in 1974, Art Farnham took over as president. In 2003, Art and his partners Tim Farnham and Sue Pearce sold the business to John C. Wadsworth, bringing a younger face to P&E.
